Memorial website in the memory of your loved one

This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one Fayette Baird who was born in Illinois on 21 October 1951 and passed away on 10 January 2011 at the age of 59. We will remember her forever.

Fayette Elice Baird of Riverside, CA, the second child of O.T. Williams and Lucresia Smith Williams, died on Monday, January 10, 2011 in Riverside, as a result of an automobile accident. She was 59.

Born in Chicago, IL on October 21, 1951, Fay graduated from Providence St. Mel High School in Chicago, IL and attended Pierce College in Woodland Hills, CA. She worked at the California Institution for Women (CIW) where she served as a Records Supervisor and staff sponsor for the self-help group, “Win by Losing.” As an Assistant Director of The Choice Theory Connection Program, Fay was highly motivated to help the female offender population change their lives.

Fay’s dedication to helping others carried over into her personal life. She was a loving and caring mother, wife, sister, and friend. Those who met her were touched by her vivacious nature, her love of life, her humor, and her optimism. Fay was a lover of music and gifted with a beautiful singing voice. She performed throughout the country and overseas with several bands and as a solo artist. An avid animal lover, Fay had six cats and a bunny.

Fay was predeceased by her parents, and her older brother Glenn. She is survived and mourned by her daughter Holly, her husband Dr. Rand Baird, her brothers Marvin, Junior and Joe, her sisters Janet and Kathy, along with many family members and friends.

Fayette is buried at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills,
in the Columbarium of Eternal Promise.
